WuDaoQingNian (WDQN) 2013 continued the mission of “from the masses, to the masses” like all the past programmes of the WDQN Projects.

The programme selected a group of outstanding dancers aged between 16 and 27 from different communities, and offered them a wide range of rigorous training as well as intensive rehearsals focusing on contemporary dance. The result was presented as podium shows in different neighbourhoods in Hong Kong, bringing the arts back to the community and sharing the joy of dance.

WDQN 2013 gained support from the Urban Renewal Authority for the first time. It also collaborated with art organisations from different districts, organising showcases in landmark neighbourhoods with history, such as Grand Millennium Plaza, Wong Tai Sin Temple Square and Temple Street Yung Shue Tau Square.
